THOMAS MOORE (Playwright, Producer), has joined Literary Agent Carolyn Jenk’s recently formed Robins Project, a of group writers who are committed to developing and marketing new plays. TALK THERAPY, his most recent play, was selected for FringeNYC’s 2009 Festival, had directed readings at The Abingdon Theater in 2007 and 2009 and won CineStory’s 2005 Best Short Screenplay Contest. His screenplay, THE REAL TRUTH, was a finalist (top ten scripts) at Cinequest’s 2006 Contest, made it to the Second Round at the 2007 and 2009 Sundance Labs, was named a semifinalist at American Accolades Contest and a quarterfinalist at Slamdance, Scriptapalooza, New Century Writer’s Award and Creative Screenwriting’s AAA Contests. As a NYC playwright from 1987 to 1991, Bill Craver at Writers & Artists Agency represented him. His credits include: Edward Albee Foundation and Blue Mountain Fellow; Drama League of NY Best Play-in-Progress Award. His plays were a finalist at New Dramatists, Mixed Blood Theatre Company, and Virginia Beach One-Act Festival. Readings include: Playwright’s Horizons Theatre School, Drama League of New York, The Barrow Group and Circle Repertory Company’s Lab. Thomas Moore is a licensed, clinical social worker in private practice in Manhattan. ROBERT HAWK (Dramaturg/Consulting Producer), independent film producer and consultant, returned to theater as a producer of Michael Albanese's RED HERRING (NYC Fringe Festival 2006). He also co-produced the staged reading of Albanese's TURNING NIGHT IN THE DYING HOUSE with Richard Easton and Logan Marshall-Green. He was credited as dramaturg and consulting producer for Jason Shafer’s NOTES ON THE LAND OF EARTHQUAKE AND FIRE (invited into NYC’s Fringe’s 2009 Encore Series). Hawk’s film producing credits include BALLETS RUSSES, TRICK, CHASING AMY, THE SLAUGHTER RULE, FULL GROWN MEN, PRODIGAL SONS and PAUL GOODMAN CHANGED MY LIFE. As film consultant his credits include: THE LARAMIE PROJECT (HBO) and the Oscar-winning THE TIMES OF HARVEY MILK. Before his involvement in film, Hawk worked in theater, first in various technical and managerial capacities, later as a production stage manager. Shows include MACBIRD!, DAMES AT SEA, Sal Mineo's version of FORTUNE AND MEN'S EYES, OH! CALCUTTA! and Charles Gordone's Pulitzer Prize-winning NO PLACE TO BE SOMEBODY. He has had his own business, ICI (Independent Consultation for Independents), for more than 15 years. |
